As some of you watch the National Championship game Thursday, whether you like Florida or Oklahoma, allow me to introduce you to two members of the Gators, Maurkice and Mike Pouncey.
(The Pouncey Twins: Mike on the left, Maurkice on the right)
The game will mean a lot to them, but nowhere near as much as it will mean to their father, Rob Webster.
Every three or fours years I am right about something. I was right about Charlie Weis. I have said this many times Charlie Weis is a garbage college coach. I have said this from the beginning. Just because you can coach offense in the NFL doesn't mean you are going to be a great head coach in the NFL or the college ranks. By the way the Patriots have been ok without him haven't they?
They have made a million and one excuses for the "Great Weis Hype". When he won with Ty Willingham players they blamed Ty for underachieving. When he lost with Ty Willingham players they blamed Ty for not recruiting good enough players. When he lost with his own recruiting class they said he just needed a year and an easier schedule.
What are the excuses now? These are his players? The schedule was cake and he still is barely over .500?
Where are all those in the media who label him a genius? Where are all those in the media who said he deserve the boatload of money Notre Dame gave him after 10 games which by far was the most idiotic decision Notre Dame has made in its history.
On top of that the truth is Weis acts like an asshole the majority of the time. He acts like people are beneath him. He is Bobby Knight, but without the coaching acumen or success.
He is suppose to be an offensive genius, but his team can only run for 43 yards against the 103rd ranked rushing defense in the country. He is supposed to be a guru to Quarterbacks, but Jimmy Clausen two years into his system still looks lost.
