As some of you watch the National Championship game Thursday, whether you like Florida or Oklahoma, allow me to introduce you to two members of the Gators, Maurkice and Mike Pouncey.
(The Pouncey Twins: Mike on the left, Maurkice on the right)
The game will mean a lot to them, but nowhere near as much as it will mean to their father, Rob Webster.
People have asked my opinion on the Rob Parker situation. You have probably already seen the video if not you can watch it above.
Parker was speaking about defensive coordinator Joe Berry when he asked Lions Coach Rod Marinelli:
"Do you wish your daughter married a better defensive coordinator?"
Marinelli ignored the question. As you have probably figured out Joe Berry is Marinelli's son-in-law.
If I was Marinelli I would have gotten down from the podium and kicked Parker's ass. The Lions are horrible, they are beyond horrible. Marinelli by all accounts is a nice guy, but awful coach. They are one loss away from being the worse team of all time.
With that being said family is off limits. That is a low blow and if Marinelli would have kicked his ass I would have applauded. Just because you are in the media doesn't give you a green light to attack someone's family. It is one thing to attacks someone's personal life if they do something dumb like I don't know shoot themselves in the leg and try to cover it up, but taking a shot a Marinelli's daughter is one of the worse things I have seen in media.
Parker says he was trying to tell a joke, but it wasn't funny and he should be fired. Simple as that. You cross that lie you should be fired. See how funny that is.
