I don't know when this picture was taken. I do know Derrick Rose is flashing a Disciples gang sign in a weed smoked room.

Was this in High school? College? Last week?

Don't care, doesn't matter.

Very similar to what I said about JR Smith young athletes especially young black athletes have to be more aware.

Yes, it's true. The Chicago-Boston first round series has been one of many revelations. We have seen how easily a Championship team can fall when missing it's best player. We have seen players, whom we thought were at one point irrelevant, step up and show their worth - on both teams. We have seen young players literally evolve into superstars overnight.

We have seen Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo ignite themselves into the top point guard discussion. Some are even saying this is the Chris Paul-Deron Williams match up on the Eastern Conference. Hmm...I think both of these point guards would show up on a do-or-die game at home. So maybe the discussion isn't precise, but it's close. These two are going to be good.

But with all the physical beating both teams are taking, and all the shoves that are being thrown..the question is, is this series fixed?

Some people in Boston think so.

You have probably seen it already, but here it is in sparkling HD Derrick Rose destroying Andre Miller's ankles on the killer crossover. Would have been nicer if his layup didn't get swatted into the 12th row but I digress (it was called a goal tending).

Rose is definitely living up to his #1 pick status; just imagine if he was able to make a free throw he would have also had a NCAA Championship on his resume, but no need to bring up the past even though I just did.

When NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing was a freshman at Georgetown, the Hoyas worked out with members of the Washington Bullets (now known as the Wizards). Ewing will always remember one question he got from one of the Bullets.

It was Mitch Kupchak, saying to me, 'Why are you in college? You should be in the NBA. You're ready to play right now," Ewing said. "In his mind I was ready, but my college experience was something I've always treasured."

Times sure have changed since Ewing was a freshman in 1981. During that summer's draft the first three picks were underclassmen, but the rest of the first round picks were all seniors. In the 2007 draft, only six of the 30 first round picks were seniors.

As of June 12th, 13 freshmen have already declared for the 2008 NBA Draft. All of those 13 freshmen are expected to be taken in the draft with the probability of the first five picks all being freshmen. Also, for the second year in a row, the top pick is considered to be a choice between two freshmen. Unlike Ewing, who will always treasure his college moments, the kids of today cannot wait for their opportunity in the NBA.

I admit it! I was wrong about Memphis. I guaranteed they wouldn't make it to the Final Four. I told you to mark the tape and, when I tell you to mark the tape, I am 99% sure of my prediction. I thought they would lose to Michigan State. They were up 50-20 at the half. I thought they would lose to Texas. They embarrassed the Longhorns in Houston no less.

They made it to the Final Four and I still wouldn't believe. My bracket from the beginning had UCLA winning the title and, unlike most sports media personalities, I am not a hypocrite or a flip-flopper. So, I put together "5 Reasons" UCLA would win the title. However, by my standards, the "5 Reasons" were admittedly weak. But I still had hope. Unfortunately UCLA was never in the game and Kevin "Justin Timberlake" Love became a poster (see video below).

So to all the Memphis fans, I have seen the error of my ways and I apologize for thinking your team that coasted through Conference USA, and shot free throws like Ben Wallace doing the regular season would slip up in the tournament. Obviously, I wasn't paying close enough attention to see this is a team that has the best athletes in the country playing on the floor.

This team can lock you down on defense and run you to death on offense. Derrick Rose already looks like a NBA Star. Chris Douglas Roberts aka CDR is a fearlessly passionate player. I'm sure every North Carolina fan wishes he played on their team. Joey Dorsey simply embarrassed Kevin Love and many UCLA guards who dared to drive to the hoop. It has been a long time since I have seen a team go through the tournament so dominantly.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me four times; well, lets just say I'm no fool.
