Submit a video no longer than :30 seconds showcasing creativity, athleticism, and difficulty.

Demonstrate your skills on a 10 foot hoop using an official regulation size basketball
Videos must be submitted in .mov, .avi, or .wmv format and cannot exceed 50mb in size

Over the weekend, the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown made its stop in L.A. The event rode into the city as part of the NBA Nation mobile basketball tour which brings basketball fans together in a virtual Hoops paradise. Fans can explore the 18 wheeler show truck or even get the chance to have a 3 point shoot out against one of the league's stars, on deck for my visit was L.A. Clippers rookie Eric Gordon. The highlight of the day is of course the dunk contest!

SkyHigh & Haneef in Atlanta for the Sprite SlamDunk Showdown

With the help of Lebron James, the NBA and Sprite teamed up together and brought out the best amateur dunkers in Atlanta on Saturday May 9, 2009. The contest was held at Atlanta's own, Sweet Auburn Festival. This annual celebration was held in the heart of Atlanta's African American community.

Rudy Fernandez has won the 4th dunker spot in the 2009 Sprite Slam Dunk contest. With 251,868 votes, Portland's Fernandez edged Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook (147,279) and Milwaukee's Joe Alexander (114,963).

Now that the rookie representative has been chosen, the three other dunkers in this year's contest have released intro videos explaining why they think they will be this year's Sprite Slam Dunk champion. Take a look below:
