If you have been following me on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline) you know this article is way past due, but better late than never, so let's get to it.
It all started with Adam, no not Adam Vinatieri, but the original Adam that we were all spawned from.

Adam had a good life. He was chilling playing spades with God, fishing all day, racing the bunnies and what not. But because they didn't have Xbox360s and the internet back then Adam became bored.

So he went to God and was like:

"Pops you need to hook a brother up because I am tired of playing with these rabbits and elephants"

God whose "Pimp Focus" is always on point was like:

"You know something Adam you are my first born so I am going to hook you up with the original Supermodel and all I ask is you see that tree over there. Just stay away from it. It has some hood rats in it and I don't want you to be corrupted."

Adam agreed, he got the first Supermodel and her name was Eve.

Eve was fine so her and Adam were playing "Bed Gammon" constantly and in the beginning it was pretty clear that Adam was the "big dog" of the relationship.
But then Eve started something that women would do for the next million years.

She started to nag.

Eve wanted to go to the "hood". She wanted to hang out by the "gangster" tree. Adam was like:

"Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww we good."

But then Eve whisper something in Adam's ear about strawberries, a rope and some ML (if you can't figure it out my bad it is a family site). Next thing you know Adam was chomping on apples and our ability to walk around naked was forever lost.

What does this all have to do with Tom Brady?

Is the NFL & NBA to soft?

|

TOM-BRADY-PIC-1.jpgWith the new rules being introduced by the 'No Fun League', it got me to thinking; are the NFL and NBA higher ups turning them into The League of Extraordinary Cup Cakes? Growing up as a Bad Boy and 49ers fan, I enjoyed seeing a safety crush a wideout. Is it only me and Rasheed Wallace that think that there is now more contact in the WNBA than the NBA?

With the way the rules are now, would the Bad Boys ever have been two-time champions? I love Tony Parker's game, but sometimes it turns my stomach to see how teams continuously let him get to the rack for uncontested lay-ups. Could somebody please enforce the paint! Then again, if somebody trips and accidentally brushes up against a player, it's a flagrant foul. What ever happened to no blood no foul?
With no hand checking, defensive 3 sec. and the arc in the paint, Jordan would have easily averaged 40 points a game.

It seems as if Mr. Stern is trying to tinker with the rules in order to make a more exciting and appealing brand of basketball. I'm from the school of thought: if it ain't broke don't fix it. All I want is my brand of the NBA where Parrish punches Laimbeer and doesn't even get called for a foul.

Tom Brady speaks......................from Toronto? I am still trying to figure why Brady decided to speak about his knee injury on a Toronto radio station as oppose to I don't know a Boston radio station.

Why do I get the feeling that Mr. Brady may not like the way the Boston media has been treating his knee injury and how some are saying he will never be the same player once he eventually comes back.

Could it be he has heard the whispers from the Boston media that he is more of a "product of the system" seeing how Matt Cassell step right in and was very "Bradylike".

Maybe this was a Giselle decision? Brenda Warner giving her tips?

Just odd all the way around.

Our good friend George Cook at LetsTalkHonestly.com had the distinct pleasure to sit down and talk to the first African-American head coach at Yale University Tom Williams:

They covered a wide range of topics including:

* The added pressure to succeed being a black coach.

* The unique challenges of coaching at an Ivy League school

* "The Game" against Harvard

* What his first game as a head coach will be like.

I listened to the interview and it was very enlightening on the challenges he faces as well as his excitement for the job, so I definitely recommend you take a listen:

GEORGE COOK OF LETSTALKHONESTLY.COM SPEAKS WITH YALE FOOTBALL COACH TOM WILLIAMS

First, let us all congratulate the now-former Jacksonville Jaguar defensive assistant Tom Williams for becoming the first black head coach in Yale history.

Tom Williams

For those counting, Williams is the second black head coach currently coaching in the Ivy League, joining Columbia's Norries Wilson.

Does it stand to reason the Ivy League -- with its reputation of being more intelligent than the average grouping of schools, and now with 25% of the football coaching fraternity being of color -- is making the trend toward more black coaches faster than the FBS (formerly Division I)?

More after the jump...

Tom Brady is going to be fine. He is going to recover and he still has a life most of us are envious of. With that being said I think it is very low class that the owners of "The Bernard Pollard Fan Club" are selling these t-shirts (see above). Regardless of your hate for a player on the field no one should be cheering an injury. Furthermore the fact they are profiting off of it is a bit sleazy to say the least. I will not link the site because I don't want to be a part of putting money in their pocket. I don't know how they can look themselves in the mirror and be proud of what they are doing.

Now that Tom Brady's knee has been "McGaheed" who are now the top contenders in the AFC?

1- Indianapolis Colts

If we take at face value that what happened last night was an anomaly the subtraction of their main foe's franchise QB would be very beneficial for the Colts. With that being said they looked horrible and if that is to continue New England will be the least of their worries. Getting Peyton Manning and the offensive line straighten out should be their main concerns, but they aren't crying over the Brady going down.

2- San Diego Chargers

As long as Norv Turner is their coach I will be hesitant to install them as a Super Bowl favorite. The one thing in their favor is they have the Colts number who are their main competitor for the top spot. If they can stay healthy they will be a very strong contender, but the possibility of an implosion can happen at any time.

3- Pittsburgh Steelers

QB- Check
Running Game- Check
Wide Receivers- Check
Defense- 10 Checks

Any reason why they couldn't blow through the AFC? If I had to put a good money bet down on a team the Steelers would be that team.

FBI agent Tom Coughlin

|

tc.jpg

From Super Bowl winning head coach to helping the FBI bust a blackmailer.

According to TMZ.com, Howard Dean Simpson of Philadelphia (must be an Eagles fan) allegedly threatened to make Coughlin's life "a living hell by doing something to his family" if he were not paid $30,000 to keep a sex scandal out of the headlines. The problem is: this sex scandal did not exist. Simpson supposedly wrote letters to Coughlin pretending to be women who hooked up with the coach while he was on the road in Philadelphia. However, since Coughlin knew there was no such thing, he alerted the Feds. Now Simpson faces up to two years in the slammer and a 250 K fine. Just goes to show, you can't underestimate Tom Coughlin off the field anymore than you can on it.

The funny thing to me is that the Mr. Simpson would think that anyone would believe that Tom Coughlin would be involved in a sex scandal. Seriously, look at the dude. I don't even believe his wife has slept with him in the last twenty years. Did you see his face during that playoff game in Green Bay? Mr. Simpson, you failed!

It appears now that Shaq has lead every athlete to believe he can be the next Lil Wayne. Usi Uminyora shows why the majority of them should stick to their respected sports. While this was all done in good fun I found it hilarious that ESPN's Eric Kuselias pointed out that Brady has three rings to Usi's one when Usi utters the horrible phrase:

"Tell me how my ring taste"

Brady was asked about some of ESPN's ex-NFL players who have criticized the Patriots. "It's just kind of the environment right now, though," he said on WEEI. "I think that's the way that guys make it. They just say the craziest things. That's what ESPN has become. ESPN, to me, is like MTV without the videos, ESPN is without the highlights."

-- ESPN.com news services

In the immortal words of Tupac:

"This is the realist sh*t I ever wrote"

Most athletes are afraid to take on ESPN for the simple fact that "The World Wide Leader" has the ability to turn an entire nation of "follower" fans against them (see: Chad Johnson, T.O. and Barry Bonds). However, Brad,y obviously understanding that he is bigger than ESPN, doesn't care and for that I applaud him. Even though his team are cheaters, it was not as bad as some media outlets made it out to be seeing that everyone cheats. I am glad he stood up and told the truth about what everyone else is thinking.
