Maxim has released its 100 Sexiest females of 2009 . Some people consider Olivia Wilde aka "13" from "House" an upset winner over Megan Fox. I think they are splitter hairs, but that is not what I want to talk to you about.

Being that I am the boss of this operation it affords me the opportunity from time to time to do things that have nothing to do with sports (it is good to be the King).

If you have been following me on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline)you are aware of my musings and philosophies on the female species. So I have a special treat for you today as I will breakdown the difference between 13 and Miss Fox in terms that only a sports fan could love (also gives me an excuse to post some hot pictures).

Megan Fox= Rob A Bank Female female

Every guy in the world knows at least one of these types a female (or you should). A female so gorgeous, so beautiful and so overwhelmingly dripping with sex appeal that you would consider doing something so wrong it is criminal just to impress her.

For example:

Sports, even women's sports, have always been a boys' club. While I'd like to think I've made small strides in the reporting of sports with my weekly video NFL picks, when it comes to the mass media, it's still male dominated. Therefore I've decided to go behind the scenes at some NBA games and get the scoop from the female perspective.

As I walked in the media entrance at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, I got the first of many "You're a writer?!" stares. A woman, any woman, would stand out; so an attractive one only makes the situation even more confusing to the rows of older, sun-starved men in polo shirts. I found my seat in the media section settled in to watch one of the most anticipated games of the year between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.

amberpresspass.jpg

The Cavs came into Friday night's match-up unbeaten at home while the Celtics were still reeling from three tough losses in a row. Many were anxious to see if the Cavaliers would be able to continue the dominance they have had this season against a formidable opponent like the Celtics without their big man up front, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who is out with an ankle injury. Though the Cavs lead the entire game, there was no shortage of action as the Celtics gave the Cavs everything they had. In the end however, they were out matched and outscored time and time again.

I must take a moment for fashion before I get to the action of the game. The Cavs wore a tribute to the 1970s hardwood classic jersey and donned a blue and yellow number. I'm tempted to say that this further shows how deep down, even Ohioans (is that a word?) love the Maize and Blue, but I digress. The uniforms were fashionable but a part of me wished they would have also donned the short-shorts of the 70s to go with them. I'm pretty sure I was the only reporter there with that thought.

Amber Fox:

Season: 114-57-1
Last Week: 11-5

I am now up 5 games! I think Robert should just quit and let me have the title of "Bonafide Sports Expert" since there really isn't time for him to catch up. I also have concluded that the Browns are playing like this torture me. They purposefully beat good teams (Giants) and lost to questionable teams (Texans) to screw up my picks every week. Next time I'm in Cleveland and I see any one of them, it's over!

What happens when a married man is constantly thrown in front of thousands of women who want to be more than just a fan, even if it is just for one night only? It can be a little overwhelming when a spouse or significant other is the highlight of a Monday night on T.V or the center of the flashing lights on the red carpet. Especially when infidelity has become as common in the world of sports as ESPN is popular.

However, this problem goes largely ignored by coaches, managers, and other sports personnel. Often encouraged by fellow team-mates, it seems to have become almost a rite of passage for the newly drafted. Athletes as well as other industry professionals deal with issues which may lead to sexual indiscretion including peer pressure, ego-embellishment, entitlement, boredom, and curiosity. The most powerful urge may be that of sheer opportunity. Needless to say, for these men, access to women mimics the ease of getting fast food in any US city.

We often hear of numerous accounts of sexual exploits committed by athletes and other celebrities, but we rarely know how the women in their lives are affected. Generally, there are three different stages experienced by women who are the victims of adultery.

Stage one is an emotional roller coaster. One minute she may be angry and blaming herself. The next, she is depressed and reminiscent about how the relationship used to be. Often for wives of public figures, the affair is detailed in the media which adds humiliation to the long list of emotions felt at this time.

In the second stage, she is less emotional and may try to make sense of the infidelity by obsessing about details of the affair. Scorned wives may retreat physically and emotionally from the relationship while reaching out to others for help. After the initial shock of the affair has worn off, the wife has an important choice to make: fight or flight? Does she fight for the relationship by learning to cope with the infidelity or does she take flight and leave the past and the cheating husband behind her?

Sports wives' responses to adultery tend to vary by their motives for getting involved with a public figure in the first place. Women who were drawn to the marriage for the glamour of being with an athlete and the perks that come with it more than for love or the actual relationship tend to be more accepting of their husbands' or significant others' affairs. They fear losing financial security and the "lifestyle". Women who married before their husbands obtained celebrity status are sometimes likely to not tolerate long-term extramarital affairs; although, many choose to deal with their spouses' "one-night stands", because it "meant nothing" and involved no emotional intimacy.

Wives generally feel less threatened and more likely to forgive their husbands if their husbands were not 'in love' with the other woman. They may take into account their children, economics, general survival, and religious views when evaluating the random affairs. In most cases, the sports wife does not have a career of her own, so she often feels pressured to stay in fear of being unable to provide for herself or her children. The reason for accepting the infidelity in any case can also be as simple as a lack of self esteem for some.
