Could this be the final Nike Puppet commercial? Some of us hope so. But only Nike knows how many they could continue to do. If only Shaq was signed by Nike...

Now, there's over 10 Puppet commercials...but this one, a celebrating Kobe and a bummed Lebron...may prove to be the last one.

Today's media day in Orlando brought smiles across the Orlando organization as Dwight Howard continued to be his enthusiastic self. Earlier on in the playoffs, Howard stressed frustration at Nike's MVPuppet Campaign pushing for a Lebron-Kobe duel. But to Howard's credit, he ensured that this wasn't happening this year. We all know how that ended, but that hasn't prevented Howard from having fun.

Today, a reporter gifted Dwight with his own Dwight Howard Puppet. Howard then had a conversation with his puppet, to answer a number of questions reporters were probably already going to ask.

The conversation via Third Quarter Collapse, after the jump.

And here's another one campaigning Lebron for the 2010 season.

When will they stop?

You would think Nike was upset and nearly doomed with the MVPuppets Campaign after Lebron was ousted by Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic, but Nike is finding ways to get creative with it. Here's a commercial spot that aired last night during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Think we have one or two more if Kobe wins it all?

Bet you'll never guess who drives the fastest car in the NBA. Will we see the Orlando Magic good luck charm again tonight? What if Nike made a Puppets commercial with Kobe and Dwight? Can David Ortiz actually be useful somewhere else? The Philadelphia Eagle's cheerleaders are shooting their calendar, and people are talking about Mike Conley's girlfriend. And forget the NBA for one second, are the Stanley Cup Finals fixed?

It's a week where bloggers are at the center of a journalism controversy...but hey, us bloggers still gotta write...right?

So Lebron is walking away after this weekend, and Kobe is looking at something else. His eyes lit up towards the end of his Game 6, as he knew he had another chance at a title. Still a challenging process, KB is in the Finals again at the expense of the Jazz, Rockets and Nuggets.

Will Lebron be watching the Finals? It's likely. But his e-mail buddy Dwight Howard will be playing and quite possibly be dominating the Lakers' big men. During the Conference Finals, Howard commented on his blog about how he's tired of the puppet commercials, and that he doesn't get any respect. First, he publicly complained about not getting the ball. A better solution? Tell your guards. Then he complained about Nike's puppet campaign. Another solution? Tell Adidas.

On that note...it may very well be the end of the Nike Most Valuable Puppets Campaign. Looks like Lebron is moving out, and Mrs. Lewis is having her son move in. Entertaining as they were, here's a quick recap of all six commercials as well as some cameos on ESPN.

And another one. This one shows Kobe and Lebron playing one on one. Good music in the background, Cool Kids is the soundtrack for this one.

Wonder if Nike is worried about the Nuggets and Magic as much as the Lakers and Cavs are.
