Sources inside of Ron Artest's camp have confirmed with me a CBS Sports report that Artest has verbally committed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers is true.

The person right now who is feeling sick is Trevor Ariza while he agent has been blowing smoke about him wanting out of LA privately I heard from his people that he didn't want to go.

He is definitely gone now.

The differences between great NBA coaches and poor coaches are subtle because most coaches at the NBA level are basketball experts. For example, Stan Van Gundy has been widely criticized by the media during the 2009 NBA playoffs while Phil Jackson has been praised with very little criticism. Why does the sports media differ in their treatment of these two coaches when they have both coached their team to the NBA Finals?

FREE RON ARTEST!!!!!!!

I am starting to think that the NBA wants Ron Artest to "Table Leg" stab someone considering the unfair treatment he has been getting lately. Artest has been thrown out of two games in a row for:

1- Talking closely to Kobe Bryant.
2- Going for a block shot on Pau Gasol.

I am not going to lie I thought the Ron Artest "Table Leg Murder Story" was just a figment of his wild and crazy imagination to scare Kobe Bryant, but I was dead wrong (no pun intended). Via Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline) someone found an old New York Times Article confirming Artest's story. This is unbelievable:

Here are the details from the New York Times circa 1991:

Ron Artest is crazy. No hyperbole he is crazy always has been and always will be.

If you need any more evidence of why Ron Artest is crazy just listen to the post game interview above provided by Talkhoops.net.

What was my first reaction?

Kobe Bryant vs. Ron Artest:

Lets do so math and you tell me if this adds up:

1- Player gets elbowed in the throat
2- Player that gets elbowed gets called for a foul
3- Player that gets called for the foul ask ref why seeing that he was elbowed in the throat
4- After refs ignore player, player confronts player who elbowed him basically saying don't do it again.
5- Player who got elbowed, wronged on a foul called gets ejected.

For those of you who hadn't heard about Kobe and Ron Artest's heated exchange at the end of their game last week, check out the audio feed brought to you by The Basketball Jones over at Yahoo! Sports.

There's a little language in this video, so viewer's discretion is advised.

Ron Artest goes off on everything

|

As someone who currently resides in "Naptown" I am deeply annoyed Ron Artest believes he can still represent us. Especially when I stumbled upon this video today of all days. For those that don't know this is the 4th anniversary of that infamous brawl in Detroit which good ole Ron here is the center of. Regardless here is a video of him defending Greg Oden who for some reason folks thought was gay(I don't get where it came from but whatever) and various other things. I must say Ron at the very least is never dull.

Houston you have a problem

Ron Artest is joining the Rockets via trade. While Sacramento is able to dump Ron Artest to the Rockets, the Kings get Bobby Jackson in return along with an unidentified player and a first round draft pick. I know folks think that Houston is an automatic contender with this move. While I agree they do become contenders, they should not be sizing their rings for fingers just yet.

Ron Artest has always been a ticking time bomb. I know this because I am a Pacers fan. I am well aware of the damage he does to a team. On paper, Houston looks unbeatable on defense. In reality they will crash and burn like, well, a Rocket running low on fuel. They still have T-Mac, the first round virgin and, as long as he's on that team, I do not see the Rockets getting past the first round. If I were a Rockets fan I would hope Ron doesn't end up destroying the team beyond reason. He, after all, has a history of doing that.
