Top 40 NFL Fantasy Players

With the NBA and NHL Finals finally over and the baseball season dragging along, there is
only one thing to look forward to and that is the upcoming NFL season. It is too early to
start breaking down teams, but it is never too early to talk about fantasy football. Here is a
break down of the Top 40 Fantasy Football Players for the 2006 season.

1- Larry Johnson – 2000 yard season? No, but 1800 yards & 25 TDs very possible.
2- Shaun Alexander- Madden Curse for the Care Bear?
3- Ladainian Tomlinson- You can mark down every year 1500 yrds, 15 TDs, 50 recs
4- Tiki Barber- One of the best all around backs in football.
5- Clinton Portis- 3rd year in DC will = Monster numbers.
6- Rudi Johnson- Mr. Reliable 1300 yrds and 12 TDs.
7- Edgerrin James- Needs offensive line help, but will get his yards.
8- Lamont Jordan- Art Shell will emphasize running game.
9- Ronnie Brown- With Ricky in Canada, Brown with have a big 2nd season
10- Peyton Manning- Should always be the 1st QB off the board.
11- Steven Jackson- New coaching staff will mean more touches.
12- Cadillac Williams- Great rookie year but needs more TDs to be fantasy star.
13- Terrell Owens- As long as he is not suspended still best WR in the game.
14- Steve Smith- With Keyshawn’s help could even be more dangerous this year.
15- Chad Johnson- Could have been the #1 WR if not for Palmer’s injury.
16- Julius Jones- Defensives concentrating on T.O., means open room for Jones.
17- Brian Westbrook- If your league gives 1pt for rec, he is your man.
18- Larry Fitzgerald- Right on the cusp of being a top WR in the league.
19- Torry Holt- You can mark him down every year for 1200 yrds and 10TDs.
20- Domanick Davis- Still thanking the lord Reggie Bush is not on the team.
21- Marvin Harrison- Slowing down a bit, but is still good for 12 TDs..
22- Randy Moss- Underachieved for the last 2 years.
23- Anquan Boldin- Along with Fitzgerald, they form a fantasy monster tandem.
24- Jamal Lewis- Look for a big bounce back year.
25- Antonio Gates- Should be the #1 TE on everyone’s board.
26- Willis McGahee- Bad Quarterbacks are hurting his progress.
27- Reuben Droughns- A solid #2 or #3 fantasy back.
28- Warrick Dunn- Always outperforms fantasy expectations.
29- Reggie Wayne- Will soon be the #1 WR in Indy.
30- Tom Brady- A steal if you can get him in the 4th or 5th round.
31- Plaxico Burress- Which Plax will show up?
32- Deuce McAllister- Reggie Bush and knee injury will hurt numbers.
33- Kevin Jones- Put up or shut up year.
34- Darrell Jackson- Could put up monster numbers.
35- Roy Williams- Mike Martz will help his numbers.
36- Willie Parker- No Bus hanging out in the garage.
37- Hines Ward- Lack of opportunities hurt fantasy stats.
38- Santana Moss- QB situation is still shaky.
39- Deshaun Foster- If he stays healthy could be a 1500 yd back.
40- Reggie Bush- Won’t get a lot of touches, but can score from anywhere on the field
