NFL players, especially the brothers in the league, have to understand that Goodell means business with the personal conduct policy. Vick was a huge star in the league when he was dinged for dogfighting. It didn't stop Goodell from indefinitely suspending him without pay. Stallworth is losing a year's worth of salary. That is a huge penalty. We can debate whether or not the judicial system should have punished him with a longer jail sentence than he got, but he has felt the wrath of Commissioner Goodell. Maybe Donte will learn next time that stepping beyond the law has devastating consequences, both professionally and personally.
