According to PFT.com, Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson sprained his MCL in practice and so far he’s listed as day-to-day. This happens just two days after Favre said he was going to stay retired.. again.

So now if it turns out to be longer what happens? Will the Vikings make Sage Rosenfels the starter? He’s not terrible unless he plays the Colts in which case he just gives the game away. Not to mention he’s there and has done his part during this Favre saga I think they should give him a shot.

However if they really trusted Sage they wouldn’t have sniffed around with Favre so will we see the return of Favre yet again? Or will they go to Michael Vick? Minnesota has spent a lot of time trying to clean up their image after their loveboat scandal do they really want to mess that up? Then again this is a stacked team at almost every position but QB. Vick would put fans in seats and also drive some away in the process. Regardless time will tell what the Vikings will do and just when we thought it was over…
