Breaking News: The Chiefs to Release Larry Johnson Today
This is according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Adam is always on point, so I know it is legit information. It isn’t surprising similar to Allen Iverson in Memphis too many bridges have been burned for Larry Johnson to just walk back in the building.
Normally when you say your head coach is more equipped to coach Phil Mickleson than a NFL team it is time to go. Calling the media and one of your twitter followers a “gay slur” surely didn’t help as well.
The question begs will anyone pick up Johnson? Any team out of contention for the playoffs I don’t think he is worth the headache, but a playoff bound team maybe will to take a flyer on him.
A team like the Patriots always come to mind as they seem to be able to take headaches and turn them into model citizens at least for the short term.
The Eagles are another team to look it would could use a “bigger” back especially in light of the iffy status of Brian Westbrook each week.
Are the Texans who can’t seem to decide on a running back and are trying to finally get over the hump of a mediocre team take a flyer on LJ?
Maybe no one takes a chance and Johnson “Fades To Bolivia” with Mike Tyson. We will soon find out.

The Redskins have let it be known they are interested in LJ. Of course that would be a diaster, but what else is new in DC.

Man your crazy … LJ in DC would be wonderful.. Thats what wrong with you fake azz writer … Y'all think you know what the fans want and don't know NOTHING… We luv the chaos and the chaos teams .. the problem comes when there is too much of a thing and right now, there are way too many Press Champs ie.. Pats, Colts, Chargers, Bears( and they had style @ once)..etc… Point I'm making is .. We like to see teams that reflect life and emotions every once in awhile ie 85Bear, 80's 90's Giants, Skins. Ravens, Browns, Steelers Now they too are questionable) , rather than ur paper champs who get all the call and referee assistance they can stand.. Did you see how many people was cheer AZ @ the end of the Super Bowl or how many jumped on the Giants coat tail when playing the Pats…
So you enjoy watching sucky teams play? I don't understand your point, FK…
