Jim Nantz Wife Gets $916,000 in Divorce Settlement: *Jigga Voice* Hold Up
Most people remember Eddie Murphy Raw right? One of the classic bits was when Eddie Murphy is talking about how he was reading about Johnnie Carson’s divorce settlement in the National Enquirer.

Which brings us to CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz who divorce was finally settled today and his ex-wife ended up with a $916,000 a year settlement.
Let me repeat:

Nantz pays $72,000 monthly in alimony until he dies or his ex-wife remarries, and another $1,000 weekly in child support for their 15-year-old daughter, Caroline, for the next two years. His ex-wife Lorrie, gets their six-bedroom home in Westport.
Nantz makes 3.2 million a year from CBS and about 4 more millions for various projects. So she didn’t quite get half, but I am sure that is no comfort to Nantz.
They have been married for 26 years, so at least you can say she stuck around for a bit.
I am trying to think what his Ex will be doing with $72,000 a month considering most people would love to make that in a year.

I find it funny that Nantz cried on the witness stand as he describe his marriage ending. I would cry to if I knew I had to pay almost a million dollars a year to a woman who I wasn’t breaking lamps with.
Of course Nantz cheated on his wife (he said the marriage was already dead by then) with a younger #noho and I am sure his wife was sleeping with the pool boy, but still almost a million dollars is a lot of money.
Maybe Tim Tebow can console him.

I really love how ppl are still shocked and surprised by this scenario. This isn't the first time it has happened. If you don't want to deal with alimony/child support then don't get married/have kids. That's the thing about choices; sometimes they have "bad" consequences. I'm pretty sure for every man out there who has had to shell out a lot for a divorce, there are quite a few stories where the wife is left with nothing.

I don't think it is a sweepstakes at all! I'm not even saying that it's right. I'm just tired of MOSTLY males complaining about a decision made by a grown adult. If you enter into a marriage/parenthood, or ANY decision, not thinking about the consequences then sometimes you'll get burned hardcore.
Agree completely with skeptical. Why act so outraged when Stern fines and suspends players for leaving the bench when there's an altercation, he's done it time and time again. It is the rule. Don't like the rule? Fight to change it or don't get married.

..Alot of women are becoming Leechers, instead of Seeders (computer terms)..What I mean is that alot of them have stopped straving to be the next Oprah, and instead settled to be the next OctoMOM..Because as soon as she sees that you got a little $ or potential, then (ching ching) she ready to go to PF Changs, then start #breakinglamps..I'mma go ahead and get off this "robbery" because I know this is an touchy subject and I can go on all day but it would be interesting to hear from a woman's perspective..
