The Thigh: When did the Bengals get tough?
It is one thing to outscore the Steelers and Ravens, but it is a totally different thing to take their best punch Pacquiao style and KO them and that is what the Bengals have done. I am no t ready to crown them just yet because the season still has a way to go, but if you are going to beat these Bengals you are going to have to earn it.
The Leg: Cutler than Meat
One thing about Quarterbacks it doesn’t matter how talented or how strong your arm is, if you throw INTs you won’t be a winner. Just look at the careers of Brett Favre and John Elway when their INTs were high their team struggled and when they kept their turnovers down teams had much more success. Look at Favre now who only has three INTs and that is the main reason why the Vikings are winning. Jay Cutler has to figure out a way to cut down his INTs or he will be a QB with a great arm always on average teams.
The Wing: MJD breaks fantasy football owners’ heart
I was lucky the fantasy team I depend on him the most on won pretty easily last week, but there was plenty of owners who weren’t so lucky when Maurice Jones Drew took a knee at the one yard line.
How big is Fantasy Football? MJD made a public apology to all of the people who owned him. He gets major props for that, but proves how addicted myself included we all are to fantasy football.
The Biscuit: The Future of T.O.
Remember when Buffalo gave Terrell Owens the key to the City? Now they are firing the head coach. If I had to guess T.O. wish he was leaving with Jauron. Obviously he is not going to be in Buffalo next year, so the question begs where he will end up. Sad thing I don’t see a team as of right now that would take a chance on him. Could this be the end of T.O.?
The Drink: Coach Littal
Number one question in the email box over the weekend:
“Rob what would have done on 4th and 2?”
Personally I would have punted, but that doesn’t change the fact that I favor the bold and still love the decision that Belichick made.
Sorry Robert But Belichick made a complete bone headed move. I understand that you have to have a killer instict to make it as a player or coach at the pro level; but I would rather give Peyton Manning 70 yard to work with rather than, what was it about 30?
It's funny how the critics and pundits alike questioned Belichick's decision by saying he didn't have confidence in his Defense. I look at it this way, I felt he was playing to win and not to lose and he had as much confidence in his defense as he did in his offense by going for it, as if they didn't get the first down he expected his defense to stop them when Indy got the ball back. Instead of sulking about going for it on first down the defense still had a chance to stop Peyton when he stepped back on the field.
