Breaking News: Ron Artest Injured After Falling Down Steps
Alas this is not a joke since it came directly from the Lakers PR Staff, but the story goes as follows.
Last night after the game Artest tripped on a box and fell down his stairs. Artest injured both his head and elbow. He was treated at UCLA medical center and then released.
He didn’t go to Sacramento with the team and is not expected to play tonight.
I can’t tell a lie I tripped over a few things last night, so I will take this story at face value unless something else comes out. 2009 isn’t over so I wouldn’t be surprised if Tiger’s wife was chasing him with the 9 Iron and he fell, but I digress.
One thing I do know is whatever happened I wouldn’t expect Artest to lie about it, so when he speaks I am sure we will get the real and probably more colorful story.
