Pacquiao Files Lawsuit Against Mayweather & Golden Boy Promotions
I would like to point out that one of the first things many steroids, HGH and EPOs users do when they are back into a corner is file a lawsuit.
Not saying that Manny Pacquiao is cheating, but he sure is doing a whole lot to prove he isn’t cheating except one important thing:
TAKING THE BLOOD TEST
This is very Roger Clemenish when he was accused. He filed a lawsuit, but by doing so he opened himself up to even more questions.
Here is what Pacquiao lawyer had to say via ESPN.com
“Manny Pacquiao’s achievements come from God-given talent and an indefatigable work ethic — not steroids,” said Pacquiao’s Los Angles attorney, Daniel Petrocelli. “He cannot and will not allow others to deliberately misrepresent his years of hard work and tarnish his reputation.
“We had no choice but to file this lawsuit. He’s had an unblemished reputation. You cannot accuse an athlete of cheating. It’s the worst possible thing you can do to an athlete. They knew he didn’t take any performance-enhancing drugs and they made these statements anyway. There was no choice but to bring a lawsuit to protect his reputation.”
You know what would clear Pacquiao’s reputation?

I think the most telling thing about this lawsuit is it doesn’t contain:
Paulie Malignaggi
Paulie has been the most outspoken of anyone about Pacquiao being on the juice and how does Pacquiao deal with that defamation of character?
By possibly fighting Paulie if the Mayweather fight falls through.
To quote Pacquiao lawyer again:
“You cannot accuse an athlete of cheating. It’s the worst possible thing you can do to an athlete.”
I guess you can accuse Pacquaio of cheating as long as you don’t ask him to take the test to prove he isn’t.
I said it once and I will say it again. If the fight doesn’t happen it is 100% Manny Pacquiao’s fault and his reputation and the reputation of boxing will be forever stained.
FMJ is scared of that chance he might lose a fight against someone his own size and weight division.
I like FMJ for his skills in the ring but he'll never be great unless he's in a fight where we don't know if he going to win or not-period. Fighting smaller guys like Marquez is good for his bank account but he can't say he the best when he does that.
This is JP Sutherland and enough is enough. Pacquiao doesn't have to take a drug test for the same reason police can't break into your house right now and make you take a lie detector test…because there HAS TO BE A REASON WHY. There is nothing, NOTHING, to show or say tha the Pac-Man has ever done steroids except the Mayweather's loud mouths. And of course Mayweather wants to fight Malinaggi over Mosely when Mosley would be the money fight. Mayweather ducks fighters, not Manny. Period.

His lawsuit is bogus and lacks merit for one reason. He isn't being defamed because he hasn't taken the test to prove he's not on PED's. If he took a test, and then Mayweather accused him of cheating, then that would be defamation. Manny is now the one ducking the fight, not Floyd. You can't gain nearly 40 pounds, keep your quickness, and out muscle bigger opponents without being questioned. If he wants to shut Floyd up, just take the damn test because Floyd has to take the same tests. Manny and all his fans and supporters are making it seem like only Manny has to take the blood test. Methinks he protests way too much. I want to see this fight, and I'm not that much of a boxing fan but I am a fan of common sense. Common sense says he's suing because he's afraid to take the test and have his whole legacy tarnished. His lame excuse of losing strength from giving a vial of blood, or taking 5 minutes from his schedule to give that vial says he's afraid of something. All his supporters would rather he "fight" this unfair accusation than face the possibility of yet another fallen athlete.
If there is no blood test to prove that Manny is taking steroids, then why did Mayweather, his father, his uncle and dela Hoya are telling the whole world that Manny is using steroids to acheive his success. The borden of proof to prove that Manny is using steroids is on Mayweather, his father, his uncle and dela Hoya. If they cannot prove it then they must pay for their false accusations. They should not be in the sport of boxing since they cannot take humble defeat but instead envy in Manny's success which they themselves cannot attain until they die.
How can they prove it without Manny's blood? If Manny is innocent and so insulted by this he'd just give up a vial of blood and move on. He will lose this lawsuit because the judge will ask him to give a blood test to prove he's not being slandered. He's stalling to clean out his system, nothing more.
No fighter is afraid of another fighter..thats #1. So stop the Floyd is afraid of Manny stuff. You don't negotiate a fight for almost 2 months if you are afraid of another fighter. #2, Floyd has agreed to other stipulations that are unreasonable such as paying 10 million dollars per pound over weight. That is utterly ridiculous. The 10 million dollar weight penalty is not mandated by the Nevade State Commission but Floyd agreed to it. Its the same thing for Manny. Barry Bonds and other folks were caught when their performance was too good to be true. You don't go up in weight by 40 pounds, not lose an ounce of speed, stamina, or power and walk though bigger guys punches. That has NEVER happened in this sport. Period.
@C-Neil – the 10 million per pound was due to Mayweather being over weight for the Marquez fight. He was 2 pounds over the weight limit. That is usually enough to DQ the fighter, and is very much an advantage for the over weight fighter. Also, the 10 million per pound penalty was part of the contract. Olympic style testing was not.
@Ezekiel – Has Manny failed a drug test? Just because you can say something about someone, is not reason to defame anyone. Manny doesn't need to submit to a test to prove he is clean, Mayweather and company need to prove he is on PEDs or an other drugs. The judge won't ask him to submit blood. Why? It's not Manny who needs to prove he is clean. Wow…are you for real?
Mayweather weighed 109 when he started boxing "same as Manny"….So to make a statement that nobody can go up 40 pounds & be competitive without taking steroids….So that makes Mayweather a steroid user ?!!…If that is what your basing your fact on what a steroid user is.
Manny is the champion & Mayweather is the contender, for Manny to give into Floyds demand undermines his status as a champion…..What you fail to comprehend is that
Manny is the big office draw……And Mayweather is not the voice of the sport of boxing.
