Shaquille O’Neal expressed in a recent interview that Lebron was the smartest player that he has ever played with.  Of course Shaq said that about Penny, Kobe, and Wade & Nash too, but I digress.  Here was the quote from the Big Lamp Breaker of Players wives.

“His basketball IQ is phenomenal,” O’Neal said of James. “He could coach in the NBA right now.”

While I don’t question O’Neal’s assessment I think he missed one very important point:

LEBRON JAMES ALREADY COACHES THE CAVALIERS

I understand Shaq’s mind is on other things, so I forgive him for not paying attention.  Everyone knows Mike Brown doesn’t coach the Cavs.

Unless you count have two offensive sets as coaching (Lebron Pick and Roll & Lebron Iso top of key).

I mean Coach Lebron has said it is ok to dance on the sidelines while the game is ongoing.  Who cares about sportsmanship when you are the coach right?

Coach Lebron is doing a decent job considering the average supporting staff he has.

To be honest besides being the Coach he really has the entire Cavs franchise under his pinkie ring.  So it isn’t just Lebron basketball IQ that it is high, his “American Gangster” IQ pretty high too.
