This isn’t unexpected and the real drama will come at Arenas sentencing.

If he is sentence to any jail time during the season the Wizards have a good shot at voiding his contract.  If he skates off with just probation it is going to be hard for them to get the money back.

A lot will depend on the judge.

Does he want to make an example out of Gilbert or does he buy his story that he was just goofing around and shows him mercy.

Also Javaris Crittenton was also suspended for the rest of the year for his role in “FACE/OFF”.
