Chris Henry’s Fiancee’ Loleini Tonga Speaks..But Story Doesn’t Add Up
I have a very specific rule in regards to reporting speculation on someone’s death. I won’t speak on it unless the police investigation is complete or someone involved in the situation speaks publicly about it.
Loleini Tonga known as Leini to her friends had an exclusive interview with ESPN yesterday and spoke on the events that lead to Henry’s death.
The police still have an open investigation in regards to the tragic incident.
I want you to watch the video and then I will give you my thoughts:
I have some serious issues with some of her comments in the interview:
1- She claims he jumped out of the truck
Her reasoning for him jumping was because he might have saw someone calling the police.
Henry had a broken forearm that was in a cast. It is hard enough to jump out of a moving vehicle with two good arms it would be impossible to brace your fall with a broken forearm. It just doesn’t seem logical for him to just jump out of moving vehicle without knowing he was going to injure himself. Now this isn’t a logical situation so it is possible, but it seems highly unlikely.
Henry’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the back of the head, if you jump out of a truck you aren’t going to jump backwards meaning your injuries in most cases would be in the front not the back of your body.
Of course falling off the back of a truck and not being able to brace yourself is more consistent with a head injury to the back of your head.
Also how would Henry know someone was calling the police? He was in the back of a moving truck it, would be almost impossible for him to know if someone was calling anyone unless it was Miss Tonga who threatened to call police and she says clearly that it wasn’t her.
2- She claims she wasn’t driving fast.
She says several times she was not going that fast. Going under the assumption that Henry did jump out of the truck if she wasn’t going very fast how did his fall cause enough damage to kill him?
If she was really going that slow to the point that he felt he could jump out it would once again be highly unlikely he could sustain injuries severe enough to kill him.
3- She claims she didn’t stop because she couldn’t.
When asked why she didn’t stop the truck her answer was:
“There was nowhere to stop on the road.”
There aren’t many streets in the United States that don’t have a place for you to pull over. Just for safety reasons most roads have some sort of shoulder.
If she wanted to pull over or stop I feel like should could have done so.
4- She claims Henry wasn’t suicidal.
This is something I believe because Henry was turning his life around and had a lot to live for, but this contradicts her previous statements that Henry jumped out of the vehicle.
If he wasn’t suicidal why would he risk jumping out of moving truck.
It doesn’t matter if the truck was going 10 MPH or 60 MPH jumping out of a moving vehicle is going to hurt and if you have a broken forearm it would be impossible to break your fall.
–
Once again this isn’t a logical situation it is quite possible that Miss Tonga description of events while suspect could be totally true. Henry could have made a split second terrible decision that cost him his life.
Also there is a strong possibility that Miss Tonga version of events are leaving out some very key components.
The police who are still investigating I gather might tell a different story than Miss Tonga. Maybe then the truth will come out or we will be left with even more questions.
RIP Chris Henry.

This is a sad situation no matter how you like at it.
You claim not to speculate on death yet your article on mcnair’s murder was filled with speculation and inaccuracies. If her story proves to be true will you do what you didn’t do for mcnair, will you amend your story to include updated facts?
I never speculate on McNair death until after police investigation was complete which is my rule. Also many of the things I said in the McNair artcile have been proven to be true
Possibly there was an automatic latch in the front of the truck (like an automatic trunk latch on a car) that she hit to open the back of the truck so he'd fall out of the truck, therefore she murdered him essentially, that's one possibility…another is he was in the passenger side of the truck and she hit him hard in the back of the head and then leaned over to open his side of the truck and push him out..just some possibilities
Both of those sound awful. I hope that wasn't the case
Ha ha are you kidding me. That hot head killed himself. Why would someone in there right mind jump on a moving vehicle to finish an argument. Everything else that happened was in direct corrilation to what he decided to do. He was always a hot head and he died a hot head. I feel sorry for his kids but it was ALL his fault. Sometimes athletes wives are not gold digging scoundrels. P.S. On the steve McNair articles you wern’t speculating but you brought out things that you didn’t know for sure were facts. I gutss you were trying to beat out the other journalist. Wrong, no but unethical, yes.
She doesn't seem too emotional, her demeanor seemed a bit icy & indifferent, so I'd believe either of those possibilities I meantioned…
You don't have to be going very fast for someone to die in this type of accident. A close friend in high school was sitting on top of a car in a grocery store parking lot while another friend was driving around (totally stupid, I know). They weren't going very fast but the driver had to brake due to another car and my friend toppled off the top and died as a result of his head injuries.
Not that I believe her story, I'm just saying you don't have to be going fast for a head injury of this type of accident to be fatal.
She definately looks like someone who could be on "Snapped" I just find it really odd that it hasn't even been a month and she's talking about this. Why?
I mean when Sean Taylor was murdered his fiancee said nothing at all.
I think there's more to this story at the very least.
I must retract my statements I did not know she was a white women.
She is mixed with something
Look at the last name and figure out where she is from, she is of Pacific Island descent
wow…she seemed to be on some type of medication. Where did the PR rule go of being able to articulate before you agree to one on one interviews? And yes, she is of pacific Island descent. I also agree that she spoke too soon, however I think she felt the need to speak because she has been implicated in the accident. I've seen normal ppl become enraged like no monster I've ever seen, including but not limited to throwing bleach in spouse face and stabbing. Although those actions say death or permanent injury to a sane mind, the ppl doing it have no intentions to kill the person. I can honestly say it would not be absurd to say she, in the heat of the moment, didn't stop as a way to get back at him. Of course not thinking rationally about what "could" happen. There are certainly incomplete or omitted details in this case but the media will continue to heavily weigh the fact that he shouldn't have been on the truck in the first place.
Have you checked out this site yet? http://www.winwinsportsbetting.com I saw the owner Jack Pace on the Daily Show last night and it looks like it might actually be legit. I thought you might be interested.
