Ex-NBA Player Jayson Williams Fractures Neck in Car Accident
For those who don’t remember Jayson Williams was charged in the accidental shooting death of his driver back in 2002. In 2004 there was a hung jury on the manslaughter charge while he was acquitted on more serious charges. Ever since then Williams has been free while awaiting a retrial.
In 2007 there was an incident with the NYPD was Williams was stunned with a taser in a NYC hotel when it was reported that he was suicidal. Williams the report said was to be intoxicated with empty bottles of prescription medicine found in his room.
In May of 2009 Williams was arrested for allegedly punching a man in the face in North Carolina those charges were later dropped by the alleged victim.
TMZ.com is reporting the latest incident in the bizarre saga of Williams. Here is the report:
Jayson Williams was arrested on suspicion of DWI early this morning — after his SUV struck a tree in Manhattan around 3:15 AM.
Williams, whose vehicle careened into a tree just off the 20th Street exit of FDR Drive, was in the passenger seat of his black Mercedes when cops arrived on scene but witnesses say he was driving and officers said no one else was in the car.
According to TMZ Williams suffered a fractured neck in the car accident. No one knows how severe that injury is.
Williams obviously needs some sort of help, but doesn’t seem he is either willing to accept it or no one is willing to provide it.

You definitely need to know that this is one of my fav articles.
Hey, just thought I would drop a line to tell you that your site took a little while to load… are you using a caching plugin? I don’t know if they have any chaching plugins for Blog Engine, but I know they do for WordPress and it makes my WordPress sites load A LOT faster! Maybe it is just my net though, check your webmasters tools and see what it says the load time is.
Very insightful, even more compelling then the theory of evolution. gracias
