What in the blue hell is going on?

First off why does Arenas and Javaris Crittenton have guns anywhere near the arena anyway? According to the New York Post on Christmas Eve Arenas and Crittenton decided to go “Menace to Society” on each other on Christmas Eve (obviously they were in the spirit) over a gambling debt. Here are more details.

The duel in DC — unprecedented in sports history — was sparked when Crittenton became enraged at the veteran guard for refusing to make good on a gambling debt, a source said.

“I’m not your punk!” Crittenton shouted at Arenas, according to a league source close to the Wizards.

That prompted Arenas to draw on Crittenton, who then also grabbed for a gun, league security sources said.

A playground pal of Crittenton’s from Atlanta, Kendrick “Bookie Ball” Long, confirmed the locker-room standoff and said he learned of it directly from the third-year player out of Georgia Tech.

“He [Arenas] was f- – -ing with him; he [Crittenton] was just defending himself!” declared Long, who said the dispute was over money but would not elaborate.

There is something mentally wrong with Gilbert Arenas I truly believe that. After this alleged incident the NBA was investigating how long Arenas has kept guns in the arena.

Do these guys realize that Plaxico Burress is in jail?

Do they realize how many accidental shooting deaths happen from people playing around?

Do they even know what happened to former NBA player Jason Williams when he “pulled” his weapon as a joke?

A gun is not a toy and Arenas needs to stop acting like a kid, before someone gets hurt. Crittenton is no better because pulling your gun doesn’t help calm the situation.

I hope the guns weren’t loaded, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were.

It is 2010 we have to do better.

The gambling debt Arenas owed Crittenton was $25,000. I have no clue what they were playing to get the amount out that high.
