Ed Garland told the Associated Press that hiring a private investigator, even in a case where the person hasn’t been charged is “standard procedure”.

It maybe standard, but it is obvious what is going on here.

Kobe Bryant also hired a “Private Investigator” and found out his accuser had quite a few skeletons in her closet (and a few fellas as well).

What Garland and the rest of Roethlisberger’s team are looking for are things to break down his accuser’s credibility.

I would not be shocked if things started to “leak” to the media about the accuser’s past that isn’t very flattering. Unless she is squeaky clean anything negative about her will be used against her.

Her past in general should have nothing to do with if she is telling the truth or not, but when you are dealing with he said/she said type of accusations no stone will be go unturned.

And in the immortal words of Allen Iverson:

“Everyone has a little dirt under their fingernails.”
