In 2010 nothing is hidden anymore; back in the day you would be able to hide this type of information and protect a player, but not anymore. Profootballtalk.com has revealed that a 4th woman has made claims that Ben Roethlisberger tried to force himself on her. Here are the details:
“Newly-available materials appears reference to an “unsubstantiated allegation” that a “drunken Roethlisberger” made an “unwanted advance” at another Milledgeville-area woman on an unspecified date during a party at Roethlisberger’s house in the area.
Per the GBI information, Roethlisberger allegedly pulled down his pants and told the woman she could “do whatever she wants.” A week later, he allegedly forced his hand up the same woman’s skirt.
The woman was able to get away, and her father advised her not to file a formal criminal complaint.
It is important to remember that all these women have “alleged” that Roethlisberger has “strong armed” them, but no charges have ever been filed.
If you look at it from an unbiased view, none of these women know each other and all of their stories are strikingly similar (he seems to like to whip out his “package” a lot).
What is more likely, that four women who don’t know each other made up stories that sound exactly the same or that Roethlisberger – since he has never been charged with anything – thinks he can “do whatever he wants” with women?
That is something that you have to decide in your mind.
Slightly off topic, but if my daughter ever came to me with these types of accusations against anyone – I don’t care if it was President Obama – I would never advise her “not to press charges.” That is a father fail of the highest degree on this latest accuser story.
As more and more information comes out, I stand by my assessment that Roethlisberger should be suspended for a minimum of eight games (he really should get an entire year) and receive some sort of treatment for his issues with his behavior. In my opinion, anything would be a slap on the wrist and sends the message to Roethlisberger that he truly can get away with anything he wants.
