Donovan McNabb’s Father Compares Redskins Trade To Jesus’ Resurrection

I don’t know if Tim Tebow would be pleased by this, but Donovan McNabb’s dad obviously went a bit over the top with his quote regarding how he felt about his son getting traded to the Redskins.  Hat tip to the Sporting News for the quote:

“Absolutely, it meant something,” Sam McNabb said of the trade’s timing, amid the buzz Tuesday at Redskin Park as his son, Donovan, was introduced as D.C.’s new QB.

“We were celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, right? Then we turn around and Donovan gets resurrected. Just perfect.”

Mr. McNabb – it isn’t quite the same, but I am going to roll with it.  As a man who uses a lot of analogies, I get what he was saying.

I don’t know what it is about McNabb’s parents; they always seem to say the wrong thing in public.  I blame it on the Chunky Soup.

It has to be the Chunky Soup.

I wonder if McNabb can turn water into wine, ’cause he might need a drink after he watches the Redskins on film from last year.

He has a lot of work to do.
