GBI Spokesman John Bankhead With Quote of Year In Roethlisberger’s Case

I love quotable material.  If it is a good quote I will use it for years.  For example when someone is stressed out I always pull out:

“Relax your mind, let your conscious be free, get down to the sounds of EPMD.”

The GBI who have been working the Ben Roethlisberger sexual assault case decided they didn’t like how some in the media had been reporting things and John Bankhead there spokesman dropped this gem of a quote as first reported by

“There are a lot of people out there reporting things and repeating things that just are not true,” Bankhead said. “They’ll be eating crow later. It may taste delicious like Thanksgiving turkey now, but later on, when the facts come out, it’ll taste like eating crow.”

First off the fact this is coming out of Atlanta and the spokesman last name is Bankhead is comedic gold. T.I. is pleased.

And remember kids it doesn’t just taste turkey. It taste like “delicious turkey”.

Monique is on her way to ATL right now.

  • Actually, it was first reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at midnight last night/this morning. As usual, PFT is a bit slow on the uptake.

  • That's ridiculous to hear something like that from the GBI (even if it is from their spokesman). Why are they so concerned with the media? It almost sounds vindictive– as if they're more concerned with proving people wrong than about getting the facts in the case. Maybe this thing wouldn't be taking so long if they didn't let the media get under their skin!

  • Actually, it is simple. John hates the media. Always has.
