Report: Steelers Looking to Trade Roethlisberger For Top 10 Pick

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Steelers have been contacting teams with picks in the Top 10 of the upcoming draft to see if there is any interest in trading for Ben Roethlisberger.

I think it’s highly unlikely that will happen, but you never know; if a team is desperate enough for a proven starting quarterback they might be willing to listen even though they know Roethlisberger will be suspended and is on his last strike.

It appears to me that the Steelers don’t want Roethlisberger anymore – and will try to do what they can to get rid of him at some point if Dennis Dixon becomes a viable quarterback replacement for them.

  1. maybe now dixon will get some much needed time on the field to show he has what it takes. i like him and really think he will do a great job. he got a hell of an arm and can run the ball if he has to. maybe this is will work out just like when tommy gun got his arm messed up and ben got his chance. ben has alot to fix with the fans not just the steelers and i just don’t see it happening. i live in pittsburgh heres one for you i heard that a lot of women fans are going to throw the #7 shirts on the field to protest big ben.

  2. That is just so American!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When a person brings alot of money in and then falls, all you can say is get rid of them. Not like he has to push himself on women. Wowen are some crule creatures and will destroy man. So get real and look where the money is and one of the best football teams. Ben made the team without him the stats will fall. Remember the most important thing SUPERBOWLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Hey “Jean” remember the superbowls? The defense won one of those two rings and carried him most of the playoff run for the second one plus randellel threw a thouchdown for him in the other superbowl. He is not the best player out there and hes not the worst either, i just want to see dixon in to prove his self. The steelers have always done well with half-ass QB so don’t think they will fall apart without him. Look at this year and the year after sb-XL the “D” sucked and they didn’t even make the playoffs. Without the “D” those superbowls would not have been won better yet even played in them.
