Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown is now former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown.  Brown, pitcured above presumably hitching a ride out of town, is one year removed from winning NBA Coach of The Year honors, and fresh off consecutive 60-win seasons.

SI.com reports the ouster, citing two league sources.  They also report that GM Danny Ferry will be retained for the foreseeable future.  The fallout from the Cavs latest shortcomings may be far from over, however.

**UPDATE**

During Dan Gilbert’s press conference, he stated that Mike Brown is still employed by the Cavs as of 1:40 CST.  Gilbert says the Cavs are still going through end-of-season evaluations and no decision has been made at this time.
