Shaq on Kobe’s 5th Ring: “I Know What Ur Saying…Shaq How My Ass Taste”
We have all seen the video (according to Youtube over 1 million views). After the Lakers lose to the Celtics in 2008, Shaq gets on the mic at a club and proceeds to do this:
No one really knows how “Ass Tasting” has anything to do with no winning championships, but no one ever compare Shaq to Eminem on the mic, so we all just rolled with it.
Kobe always took the high ground on the video, which I think in retrospect a lot of people saw as a turning people of him being mature and above the pettiness that derailed the first Lakers’ Dynasty of the decade.
Kobe jokingly mentioned during the post game press conference when asked what did this title mean to him personally:
“I GOT ONE MORE THAN SHAQ.”
Yes he was joking, but don’t think for one minute that wasn’t a great motivation for him to win his 5th championship, to push the fallacy of him not being able to win without Shaq even farther in the background.
He and Shaq have reconciled in the same way Jay Z and Nas reconciled if you get what I am saying.
It was pretty classy of Shaq to tweet his congratulations and poke fun at himself at the same time.
There is a rumor floating around he is being so nice to Kobe, because he wants to come back to LA. Stay tuned
