Knowing Charles Oakley the way I do, I find it very hard to believe that just mere hotel security could do this to him.

Oakley is a legendary tough guy, he is the NBA version of Chuck Norris, no one messes with Oakley, but according to the The Big Lead something went down.  Here are the details:

According to Nicole Tucker, the Executive Casino Host at Caesar’s Palace, former NBA tough-guy Charles Oakley – best known for being Michael Jordan’s “bodyguard” and this memorable incident with Tyrone Hill – got jumped in Vegas last night. Tucker tweeted this photo of Oakley and wrote, “Oak got jumped at Aria not once but twice by security.”

I have a theory; the head of hotel security had to be Jack Bauer, right?  Jack is on the run, but he needs to blend into society.  What better place to blend in than Vegas?

Chloe gets Jack a job at Aria, but since it is Jack he just can’t lay low.  Oakley comes in talking about how he slept with more women than Jordan and starts a little ruckus.

Jack comes over and tells him to calm down, but Oakley, not knowing who he is messing with, tries to punch Jack and the pictures below are the result.

Yes, I know, I am still obsessing over the loss of “24,” it is going to take some time.

i wonder how many guards jumped him? Well if he's going to get beat up, I don't think I'd hire him for my bodyguard. Just wow I wonder what went down.

  2. I think this site has got some real fantastic information for everyone : D.

I can’t believe the guards can get away with inflicting that much damage and permanently injuring a man. Security guards are not authorized under law to do such things. I hope Oakley wins the lawsuit against Aria Casino. Security guards go overboard and should be regulated by law.

In addition, I hate to throw the “race card”, but I feel as if the security guards feared Oakley, a 6’9″ huge black man. Would they guards have jumped and severely beaten a 6’9″ huge white guy? Or would they have just talked him out of the situation? I think private security guards are quick to take physical action against blacks and other minorities. In this day and age, I think that is more out of fear rather than just plain hate.
