I hope Reggie knows he isn’t fooling anyone. He and his family were up to something shady and got caught, it is as simple as that. He isn’t the first (and he won’t be the last) high-profile college athlete to take some cash, cars, houses, etc. under the table.
The sad thing about these cases is that it rarely has an effect on the past players — it’s the current players that get punished. Here is what Reggie had to say:
“I have a great love for the University of Southern California and I very much regret the turn that this matter has taken, not only for USC, but for the fans and players. I am disappointed by today’s decision and disagree with the NCAA’s findings.
If the University decides to appeal, I will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and USC, as I did during the investigation. In the meantime, I will continue to focus on making a positive impact for the University and for the community where I live.”
No one has spoken on what will this mean for his Heisman Trophy.
I don’t think he should have to give it back or that it should be given to Vince Young. He earned that on the field; what was going on off the field had nothing to do with that.
Here is the Kim Kardashian pic you are waiting on.
