Sources: Brian Shaw To Be Named New Coach of Cavaliers

The reason why this could be important is because there have been some rumblings that LeBron would like to play in the triangle offense and Shaw is a Phil Jackson disciple.

How much of an effect Shaw being named the head coach has on LeBron no one really knows, but according to Fanhouse, with or without LeBron, Shaw is about to be in charge of the Cavs.  Here are the details:

A source told FanHouse the Lakers assistant is finalizing a deal to join the Cavaliers just one day before James’ much-anticipated free agency begins. Shaw was a finalist with former New Orleans and New Jersey coach Byron Scott after Michigan State coach Tom Izzo declined the team’s offer earlier this month.

If LeBron decides to re-sign with the Cavs, it is a win for Shaw; if he doesn’t … well, at least his salary increased.

Maybe he can teach Mo Williams to stop being so “Moist” all the time.

The Summer of LeBron continues.

  • Hi. I just noticed that this page doesn’t display correctly in my browser. Oh well, I think I’ll just used the tried and tested Internet Explorer. Greetings from Carlisle
