Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh to Play Dynamic Duo in Miami..What Will LeBron Do?
According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, Wade and Bosh to the Heat is a done deal and will be announced sometime today.
If you believe this to be true, it means a few things:
1- It confirms my thoughts from the beginning that Wade had no intentions of playing with LeBron.
2- That Bosh was much more interested in playing with Wade than LeBron.
3- That Wade honestly believes with another star player he can lead any team to a championship.
The third reason to me is the most interesting. Wade could have gone to Chicago with Bosh and become the best team in the East.
By re-signing with the Heat and bringing Bosh along, it immediately makes the Heat contenders but not necessarily the favorites; I believe Wade has enough confidence in himself to believe as long as he has a strong second fiddle, he can make a run for multiple championships in Miami. That’s a serial killer attitude that a lot of players don’t have.
What does this all mean for LeBron, who will have his ridiculous “Sweet 16″ party/slurping/ego-out-of-control announcement on ESPN Thursday?
There are still whispers he could join the Heat, but seeing how he has played out this free agency period I just don’t see him sharing the spotlight with Wade.
It brings Chicago back in the picture. Even without Bosh, LeBron and a second fiddle player like Carlos Boozer or David Lee would still make them favorites in the East.
The Knicks are in strong contention thanks to the signing of Amar’e.
To my understanding, the Nets are a long shot at this point, but are still in the running.
Most people I talk to now believe he is going back to Cleveland in part because of loyalty to his “crew.” While that is a sweet gesture, I don’t think it helps him be in title contention immediately.
I guess we will have to wait until ESPN shows us LeBron’s baby pictures for an hour on Thursday before we know where the self-proclaimed “King” will end up.

1&2 I disagree with. Bosh made it CLEAR that he did not want to go to Cleveland, but rather a bigger city like NY/Miami/Chi. it wasnt that he didnt wanna play with Lebron (if this deal follows thru), he didnt wanna play in Cleveland (if thats where Lebron stays), and Miami was the next best bet to seal him a good spot and not be left in the open alone with some far-from-contrnding team like the Nets. Also, Wade made it clear on many occasions that he didn't want to leave Miami, so i was either someone come there or thats all. All along we knew Wade wasn't going anywhere; the question stayed with Lebron & Bosh, however.
