Kobe Bryant Ties Tiger Woods As America’s Most Popular Athlete
One of the reasons I am not overreacting to the current state of Lebron James in regards to how he is being seen by fans is because fans are fickle and winning cures everything.
Kobe Bryant has proven this.
Bean still has a ton of people who hate his guts, but there was a time when pretty much everyone disliked him.
A Olympics gold model and couple of championships later people just forgot about Colorado, Shaq, Trade Demands and in general negative things from his past.
Here are the details:
Tiger Woods has dropped into a tie with Kobe Bryant as the favorite American sports star.
Woods had held the position alone since 2006, but the Los Angeles Lakers guard moved up from fourth last year to grab a share of the top spot, Harris Interactive said Tuesday.
LeBron James dropped from third to sixth in the company’s survey of 2,227 adults conducted online June 14-21, before he left Cleveland to sign with Miami. Retired NBA star Michael Jordan fell from second to seventh.
I find it a bit ironic that Tiger was able to hold on to the top stop, but while a lot of people find his situation a bit disturbing he is still one of the most recognizable athletes not just in the USA, but the world.
If he doesn’t start winning again though and Kobe gets his three peat I doubt Tiger will be able to hang on to his #1 spot.
