Lorenzen Wright, currently a free agent in the NBA after last playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008-2009 has been missing for a week (last seen on July 19th) and family members have become quite concerned about his safety and well being.

According to the Commercial Appeal, Wright’s sister, Adriane Harris, says that “Wright has been out of touch before, but never to this extent…If he did go somewhere, someone could get in touch with him. No one can.” Wright was last seen at a barber shop in the local Memphis area.

Wright, who also played his collegiate basketball in Memphis, was the 7th overall draft pick of the Los Angeles Clippers in the highly touted 1996 draft. Wright has played for five (5) teams over his 13 year career (twice with the Atlanta Hawks), averaging 8 points and 6.5 boards a game.

There have been all kinds of rumors and innuendos as to the causes / reasons for his disappearance.  Whatever the case may be, let us hope and pray for a safe resolution for Wright and his family.
