Braylon Edwards is like a middle class version of Roy Williams.
Physically gifted receiver who thinks he is a #1 but more suited to be a #2. Hollywood attitude with Flintstones hands.
Once spent thousands of dollars in the club to try to woooooo Rhianna only to be given the gas face. Has a some baby momma drama with a “model”.
Was traded to the New York Jets after punching a Lebron sidekick in the jaw. Interesting fella and he had some interesting things to say about the city of Cleveland check it out:
“There’s nothing going on in Cleveland,” Edwards recently told Greg Bishop of the New York Times. “There’s no real estate. There’s no social life, no social networking. All the people who have something going on leave Cleveland. So Cleveland has nothing, and I came in there with a New York-type of essence. So what? That was the attitude I came in with. Like, this is who I am. They didn’t like the flash.”
Edwards’ mother also chimed in on her son’s struggles in Ohio. “He came from a team that was always looking for a savior to a team that knows how to win,” she said, apparently under the impression that he’d been traded not to the Jets, but to the Giants.
“No one would understand what he’s been through unless you’ve been drowning,” she added.
First off he sounds silly when he says “New York Essence” basically what he is saying in his mind he was too “Hollywood” for Cleveland, but that is not as bad as what his mom said.
First, Edwards was no savior.
Secondly, the Jets have been a mediocre team for past four decades, you could argue the Browns have had more success.
Lastly Edwards was paid a lot of money by the Browns, so I don’t care if he was playing in Alaska to compare it to “drowning” was ignorant and very insensitive.
The fact that the Jets traded for Santanio Holmes, knowing that he would be suspended should tell you all you need to know about what the Jets think about Edwards.
How about less talk about “Flash”, better performance on the field and keep mom away from those microphones.
