Who doesn’t want to be down with the South Beach NWO?
Dolphins Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall, who I truly believe was just having a bit of fun with ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that if the owners lock the players out next year he is taking his talents to South Beach or the Rockies.
Here are the details:
Marshall said he plans to audition for either the Denver Nuggets or the Miami Heat.
“My first team will be the Nuggets and my second team will be the Heat — I’m serious,” Marshall said.
Asked to clarify whether he will pursue a basketball career if there is no NFL season in 2011, Marshall said: “Not pursuing — I’m going to be on an NBA team. Seriously.”
“There’s not going to be any football,” Marshall predicted. “If there’s a lockout, I have to find a job. I figure the Nuggets will be a better choice because of the welcome home cheer I’ll get — a couple of boos at first. I’m gonna get with a basketball coach and get to work, prepare for the lockout.”
Must be a slow news day over at the World Wide Leader.
I hope Marshall knows there is a 10 tattoo minimum if he wants to play for the Nuggets.
I personally think Marshall should work at Best Buy like Ron Artest did one summer because as Artest put it:
“They have great employee discounts.”
Once other thing Marshall forgot was that a NBA Lockout is probably more likely than a NFL one.
He could always play soccer or something. You know they give you free Capri Sun.
