Cowboys WR Roy Williams: “I Am Still A Pro Bowler”

When I was in college I bowled a 250 game, from that point I would tell anyone who would listen that I was an “expert” bowler.  One problem though I have never bowled a 250 again, so while I always use that 250 to try to convince people I am a great bowler, the facts are I am a little bit better than average.

Which brings us to Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams.

Roy has been in the league since 2004, has made a ton of headlines and stolen a lot of money.

He has been to the Pro Bowl one time, but somehow in Roy’s twisted mind he believes he has been an All-Pro his whole career.   Here is what he had to say:

Williams has struggled since being acquired from Detroit during the 2008 season. In the first three games this season, he has 12 catches for 191 yards.

“I want to be part of the puzzle and show that I’m worthy of everything I’ve gotten,” Williams said. “I’m still the same player. I’m still a Pro Bowler. I want to continue what I’ve been doing.”

A Pro Bowler is someone who has went to the multiple Pro Bowls.  Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson are Pro Bowlers.  Roy Williams had a good game, which he should be proud of, but it wasn’t like he was Lance Moore or anything.

Instead of patting himself on the back and sticking Dez Bryant with outrageous dinner bills, how about having more than just one good game a year.

That is what Pro Bowlers do.
