When Lebron is not talking about his “haters”, the most interesting story in the NBA is where will Carmelo Anthony end up.
We know at some point he will not be with the Denver Nuggets.
The Knicks claim to be getting closer, but the Nets quietly behind the scenes are still presenting offers. Here is their latest:
The Nets are looking to offer rookie Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy and two first-round picks from other teams. Devin Harris, a key cog in the last deal, is not included in the latest package, though the team official said that could change with Denver’s liking.
If a third player were to be involved in the trade, it would more likely be power forward Kris Humphries, staying in line with what the official said Denver was looking for all along: expiring contracts, draft picks and young talent.
This leaves the decision up to Denver, and for now they’re waiting, entertaining deals across the board.
The Nuggets are going to drag this out as long as possible, to make sure they get the best deal. The question is not if, but when will they pull the trigger.
Anthony wants to go to Knicks or Bulls, but the Nets still seem to have the best offer. Just remember don’t believe anything until something is officially announced.
