This is the second time that Jarrett has been arrested for DWI since being drafted by the Carolina Panthers. He has been a huge disappointment since coming out of USC.
In four years he only 35 catches and one touchdown.
Recently there has been rumblings that he wanted to be traded, considering he has done nothing on the field to warrant any value, he is lucky he hasn’t been released, but I gather that will be coming soon. Here are the details:
Jarrett was pulled over on Interstate 77 in Charlotte for speeding shortly before 2 a.m. ET Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman Bob Fey said. Fey said Jarrett declined to take a breath test to determine his blood-alcohol content, and results of the ensuing blood test won’t be known for several weeks.
Jarrett’s arrest puts his future with Carolina in doubt after a disappointing four seasons that have included just 35 catches and one touchdown.
Jarrett was arrested in March 2008 in a Charlotte suburb after police say he crossed the center line and ran a red light. The police report said Jarrett’s blood-alcohol level was .12, above North Carolina’s legal limit of .08.
You would think after the big production that was made over Braylon Edwards arrest these guys would know better.
But obviously that isn’t the case. Whereas Edwards had to be worried about being benched, Jarrett future in the NFL looks like it will be coming to an end very soon.
