Harrison is extremely upset about being fined $75,000 for his helmet to helmet hits against the Cleveland Browns last weekend.

Personally, I would have been more upset with the NFL after finding they were profiting off of his hit, but I digress.

Harrison wonders if he can play in the NFL if they are going to police the hits with suspensions, ejections and fines. Here is what Harrison had to say:

“I’m going to sit down and have a serious conversation with my coach tomorrow and see if I can actually play by NFL rules and still be effective. If not, I may have to give up playing football.” Harrison later commented, “I’m going to have to try and find a way that I may possibly get out of whatever agreement I agreed to with the Steelers.”

I highly doubt he would retire this week—I think that is just the emotion talking.  I get that Harrison is upset, but stop crying, you know you are going to play as long as those checks are being deposited.

Personally, I think the NFL will talk tough for a few weeks and then things will settle down. I think the most important thing the NFL needs to do is work on safer equipment.

I think there is a fine line in regards to hits like Harrison and Dunta Robinson and hits like Brandon Merriweather on Todd Heap.

The refs who already have a difficult job, now are going to have to make decisions on the fly with the whole world watching.

It is a hot button topic and I am very curious to see how it plays out this weekend.
