Before I get to the allegation Channing Crowder is the new Joey Porter, but at least Porter was half way decent. Crowder is not.
He does a lot of talking, but he isn’t an impact player and if anyone cared about what he said, some of the things that come out of his mouth would be ridiculed and laughed at.
This is the same Crowder who complained about white linebackers being able to chase people down. The same Crowder who said he didn’t know who Derrick Mason was and that he was an old man.
The same Crowder who was a non factor in the beat down the Ravens gave the Dolphins.
With all that being said if Le’ron McClain did spit in his face he has a right to be upset, here is what he claims happened:
Channing Crowder was upset because he said Baltimore fullback Le’ron McClain spit in his face, causing him to get angry during the third quarter. McClain, by the way, denied the allegation.
“He spit in my face and that’s the reason I got mad,” Crowder said. “He’s a bitch-ass punk. Write that.“
Crowder also called McClain a “ho.”
Crowder said when he complained to the officials, they told him they didn’t see McClain spit at him.
“Then they said something about they let [Dolphins linebacker] Karlos Dansby get away with a facemask the play before,” Crowder said. “Who the f— cares? A guy just spit in my face! I don’t give a damn about Karlos pulling somebody’s facemask. Like they didn’t see [Dolphins quarterback] Chad Henne get hit twice when he slid. Yeah, a little Stevie Wonder and Anne Frank.”
Asked what the Anne Frank reference meant, Crowder said “Who was that? Is that the blind girl? Helen Keller … I don’t know who the f— Anne Frank is. I’m mad right now. F— it. I’m not as swift as I usually am.
Derrick Mason was feasting on Crowder. He said Crowder is a “bad player,” and that Crowder is so terrible he’ll be out of the league before Mason, 36, retires.
“He’s not a good football player,” Mason said. “He needs to humble himself. They told me they would get him back for me and they did.’
Mason also called Crowder, “horrible.”
Karlos Dansby obviously was expected to see things Crowder’s way
“Man, if I’d have seen that, there would have been a damn brawl out there, straight up,” Dansby said. “We some tough guys. But if you take a cowardly way like that, you need to be straightened. Hopefully, Roger Goodell will look at the film and he’ll do something about it. If he don’t, we’ll see him in the street and we’ll have to handle it.
“For you to spit in the guy’s face and walk away, that’s a coward move. That’s a coward move. They supposed to be some tough guys. They ain’t all that tough, they pull a coward move like that. They ain’t that damn tough.”
Lot of strong words being thrown around.
If there is video of McClain spitting on Crowder he should be dealt with, not in the streets, but by Roger Goodell. You can’t be spitting on people, I agree with Dansby that is very cowardly.
Unfortunately Crowder says such stupid things, I just can’t take his word for it.
If Crowder is lying then he is the cowardly one doing all the woofing, but not backing it up on the field. Plus falsely accusing someone of spitting on you is very “moist” no pun intended.
We will see if any visual evidence pops up, but my advice to Crowder would be to keep his mouth close for awhile, since it seems he can’t stop putting his foot in it.
