Dwight Howard has a little Donovan McNabb in him. Regardless what you say about him, he is going to smile and not engage in anything controversial.
Unless it is about his son’s mother Royce Reed, but that is a different story for another time.
Amar’e was telling the truth about Howard, but Howard decided to take the high road.
Dwight Howard was sparing in his praise of Amar’e Stoudemire at this morning’s shootaround, perhaps having read Stoudemire’s comments saying the Magic center is “a little limited offensively.”
“I don’t pay attention to nobody but the Orlando Magic,” Howard said when asked his thoughts on Stoudemire’s season. “I couldn’t tell you how many points he has, shot attempts. If you want to do know that, Stan (Van Gundy) has all the statistics. My focus is on our team.”
A very nice politically correct answer from Howard.
Best way to show Amar’e he is wrong is to go out and dominate him. The question begs has Howard hit his ceiling as an offensive player. He isn’t a young baller anymore and his improvements in his post game have been minimal at best. You can’t turn into Moses Malone overnight.
