Just when you wanted to give Brett Favre a little credit— he once again proves why some people can’t wait for him to go away.
Favre couldn’t even wait 24 hours before trying to profit of the ending of his consecutive game streak.
And if you want to get a “piece of history” , it is going to cost you. Here are the details from PFT.com
Favre’s official web site began selling a signed football commemorating his 297-game streak of starts.
For the low, low price of $499.99.
The signed ball will include the inscription “297 starts 1992-2010.”
Come on son— $500 for a ball that has no value since they are shipping as many as they can sell. You have to be a sucker to go for that. Even Lebron James’ team thinks that is a rip off (Jim Gray is laughing somewhere while counting his 500k).
It isn’t so much that Favre is selling the ball, even for that outrageous price. It is he couldn’t even wait a little bit before thrusting himself back in the spotlight.
He is already getting paid upwards of 16 million dollars this year, he could have waited a couple of days before he started pimpin his legacy.
