Nothing says dummy like a senior college football player who was looking to get drafted high in the NFL getting caught with drugs in his apartment.
Not just one drug, but multiple drugs.
Iowa Hawkeyes receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos was arrested on Tuesday after a search warrant at his home turned up marijuana, cocaine and prescription drugs. The warrant was the result of an ongoing drug drug investigation by police in Iowa City. Johnson-Koulianos was charged with multiple counts of drug possessions, as well as keeping a drug house. The senior wide receiver was released from jail Tuesday night after posting $8,000 bail.
Johnson-Koulianos, the Hawkeyes all-time leader in receptions and receiving yardage, was suspended from team activities as Iowa prepares for the Insight Bowl. The senior wide receiver was named to the All-Big Ten first-team after catching 46 passes for 745 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2010.
Now every time DJK speaks to a NFL team, he will have to explain why he was playing mini Tony Montana in his home. When you have an opportunity to play in the league, you can’t do anything that will raise a red flag.
I would like to ask DJK exactly what he was thinking, what was the motivation? Is his girlfriend Lindsey Lohan?
