Report: 49ers Inform Mike Singletary He Will Be Fired

As you know I never thought Mike Singletary would be a good head coach in the NFL.  I said it when he was hired, when he dropped his pants in the locker room, during his legendary press conferences, after he kicked Vernon Davis off the sidelines and just in general over the last couple of years.

With that being said the 49ers could show a little more class.  Singletary may not be a good coach, but there is no question he is a good man and he worked hard.

Let him leave with his diginity.  Don’t do stuff like this.

Citing a source close to the situation, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports that Mike Singletary will not return as the 49ers’ head coach in 2011.

Owner Jed York and executive Paraag Marathe have already decided to move on from Singletary prior to next season. The only question left is whether they’ll let him coach the season finale against Arizona.

You don’t start a GM search with one game left in the season and before Singletary even gets on the plane. This is the reason the 49ers are a travesty.

Show a little more respect.

  • With all due respect homie – as a die hard Niner fan, this is one of the first smart moves ownership has made in years.

They need to get a head start on the coaching search. A lot of teams will be looking for coaches this offseason.

Singletary is a good man, but a horrible coach. He owed them more preparation and better decision making and he didn't give it to them, so they don't owe him anything accept those paychecks that they will continue to have to give him for the next 2 years.

    • Did you read the article especially the 1st sentence.

  • 49ers have no class

  • F*ckin’ tremendous issues here. I am very happy to see your post. Thanks a lot and i’m having a look forward to touch you. Will you please drop me a e-mail?
