When I was around Young Brad’s age I was considered a bit of a sports journalist protege myself. A lot of people assume like most bloggers and independent website owners I just woke up one day and started to talk about sports.
Didn’t exactly happen like that, I have been reporting sports in some shape, form or fashion since I was six years old.
My mom use to have me entertain people because I could recite the score and teams of every Super Bowl play when asked (don’t know if I can do that now I am getting old).
I haven’t changed much over the years, I can’t remember the name of one of my college girlfriends, but I specifically remember random stats from 40, 50, 60 years ago.
When my publicist Quin told me about a 14 year old kid who was interested in advertising on BSO I chuckled. I didn’t expect much from a blog from a kid, but then I went to TheKingOfSportsBlog.com.
The first thing I notice was this that he had an interview with Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez. I can’t get an interview with Mark Sanchez, Braylon Edwards keeps hitting me up, but I am a little busy at the moment.
He has several interviews with players as well as blog posts that are better than majority of wannabe sports experts out there.
So I told Quin, to let Brad know that I remember when I was his age, what it would have meant to me to have someone give me a little shine and that I would do a personal feature on him.
Doesn’t look like he needs it though, he is doing quite well on his own.
