CBS/Showtime To Televise Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley PPV

Here is an interesting fact.

Neither Pacquiao or Mosley have ever been on Showtime.  Been exclusively HBO for the majority of their careers.  I have only one request if Showtime is handling the fight.

Here are more details:

In a seismic shift in the boxing business landscape, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum closed a deal with Showtime and sister network CBS to handle the pay-per-view fight between pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley — instead of HBO — multiple sources told on Friday.

Pacquiao, boxing’s biggest star, defends his welterweight title against former champ Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs) and Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs) have never fought with Showtime’s involvement and both have fought all of their numerous significant fights on HBO or HBO PPV.

I will warm up the BSO Jet and head to Vegas to check it out and hopefully meet Gus.  I am sure it will have a difference feel without HBO, but sometimes different is better.

They may do a 24/7 style promotion for the fight on CBS and it appears they will be promoting it hard on network TV.

I can not confirm or deny if Floyd Mayweather will be in jail by then.

  • certainly like your website however you have to check the spelling on quite a few of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very bothersome to inform the truth nevertheless I will certainly come again again.
