I am not a Vince Young apologist.
The #1 reason Vince Young has had issues in the NFL is because of Vince Young not anyone else. His immaturity and lack of dedication to the game is a problem he will need to address if he ever wants to be an elite quarterback.
With that being said, former Bills LB Darryl Talley is being extra Dunkin Hines moist.
He ran into Vince Young who didn’t recognize him, so now his panties are in a bunch (see tweets above).
Talley was the good, not great, Linebacker for the Bills during their four year Super Bowl run. When Talley was drafted by the Bills in 1983, Vince Young wasn’t even born.
I would imagine less than 5% of current NFL players, if they ran into Talley in the mall, would have any idea who he was. It’s not like he is Bruce Smith or Thurman Thomas—you know, Hall of Fame players.
The fact that he went to Twitter with his frustrations, just lets you know he is a bitter ex-NFL player, jealous that someone like Young who is a bit lazy, is making more in one year than he made in his entire career.
Vince Young saying his grandmother loves Talley, was professional ether at its finest. There are legitimate reasons to be critical of VY, but this isn’t one of them.
Knowing Talley isn’t going to make Young a better player—getting in the film room and learning about current NFL linebackers is what’s going to make him a better player.
Stop being so soft and sensitive Mr. Talley.
