Carmelo Anthony Finally Traded to Knicks..We Can All Go to Sleep Now

Here are the details of the deal:

The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks tonight, a league source said. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors’ 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors’ 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.

Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

Some people will write 10,000 word stories on what this all means, but I can sum it up in a few sentences.

Carmelo is now the FRANCHISE PLAYER of the New York Knicks.  Not Amar’e, not Chris Paul (if he comes and completes the trilogy) or any other player the Knicks may get.

If the Knicks fail, it will be Carmelo’s legacy that will suffer.

Win and he becomes a legend, lose and he is going to wish he went on the Brooklyn Nets.

  1. In my best Fred Sanford voice "YOU BIG DUMMIES" to the Knicks. The person that should be "MAD AS HELL" is Amar'e. They told this fool that he was the one and only, gave him a $1oo million contract and promised they wouldn't cheat on him. but just like a man (example: Shaq) the "new bride" is being replaced by the sidekick (Carmelo).

Are there going to be any championships looming in the future? Robert, come closer…HELL NAW!"THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS HAS A BETTER CHANCE" And do u really think Amar'e wants Carmello "Marshmallow" Anthony on the same team? "Kanye West Shrug" plus drooling. Boston, Miami, Chicago and Orlando don't lose any sleep over this. Side Note: Isiah Thomas didn't have shit to do with this deal at all, He's their (Knicks) flunking during the off season!

    GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!

  2. I think the Knicks gave up way to much for Melo. We've seen teams trade garbage for good players.
