The Nuggets have been good since Carmelo left the building.
There are two type of stars.
Franchise stars and All-Stars. You can survive an all-star leaving, hard to survive when a franchise star goes, maybe we overvalued Carmelo Anthony, only time will tell.
George Karl has signed a three-year contract extension with the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard. Ken Berger of CBSSports.com confirmed the report, and said the Nuggets have an option on a fourth season. Karl, who has fought off cancer twice in his tenure with the Nuggets and has Denver looking at a playoff berth despite the trade of Carmelo Anthony, has a career record of 1,023-698. He’s No. 7 on the all-time wins list, and is No. 11 in winning percentage among coaches with at least 500 games under their belt.
The Nuggets want stability and locking Karl in helps with that. He has always been a good coach, we will see how far he can take the post Melo Nuggets.
